The Middlebury football team returns to action at Youngman field at Alumni Stadium this Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Panthers are opening up the 2019 season hosting long-time NESCAC rival Williams.

Expectations for the 2019 season are high because Midd has posted a winning record in each of the last seven seasons.

The Panthers are on the hunt for a NESCAC title, the last one came in 2013.

The football team hit Youngman field in preperation for the season opener on Saturday. Middlebury head coach Bob Ritter has prepared his team on the field. Ritter’s teams have won 43 of 58 games over the past seven seasons.

There’s also a schedule change in this year’s lineup. The Panthers normally open up the season facing Wesleyan. Middlebury will be hosting Williams in week one, who they normally face later in the season around week five.

Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday at Alumni Stadium.
