Middlebury women’s hockey falls to Williams

In Division lll Women’s Hockey, the Middlebury Panthers fell to Williams 2-1 in a conference matchup.

Middlebury celebrated senior night for four players, Katherine Jackson, Katarina Shuchuk, Jenna Marotta, and Rachael St. Clair. 

After a scoreless first period, Williams earned a spot on the board after Meghan Halloran fired a shot from the top of the cirlce. 1-0 Ephs. 

Just twenty seconds later, Maddie Leidt skated past defenders and sent the puck back to Jenna Letterie who scored with the quick finish. 1-1 all. 

With 10 minutes left in the game Bri Laycock chipped in the shot for the final score 2-1. 

Middlebury will take on Williams again tomorrow in Williamstown, puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
