Middlebury women’s lacrosse is having a season for the record books.

The third-ranked Panthers recorded their 21st consecutive win in a 16-8 dominant victory over No. 8 Wesleyan in the national semifinal in Ashland, Va. on Saturday.

Middlebury advances to the national championship for the third time in four years.

With the 16 tallies from the final four win, the Panthers set a new program record for goals with 316.

Emma McDonagh led the way for Middlebury with five goals, while Julia Keith made five saves against the Cardinals.

The Panthers also commanded the draw controls, winning 18 to Wesleyan’s eight.

Middlebury moves on to the national championship against No. 7 Salisbury with first draw set for 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
