Monsters make comeback to open series

BURLINGTON, Vt. - The Lake Monsters rallied from a 1st-inning, 2-0 deficit to secure a 5-4 win the series opener against Hudson Valley Thursday night.

Jeremy Eierman iced the game with a solo home run in the bottom of the 7th inning, which turned out to be the winning run. He went 2-for-4 with three runs scored on the night.

The Lake Monsters improved to 22-24 and take on the Renegades in the second game of the series Friday night at Centennial Field.
