Vermont women’s lacrosse hosted its second nationally-ranked opponent of the season Tuesday afternoon at Virtue Field.
UVM welcomed twin-state rival and No. 20 Dartmouth on Military Appreciation Day and ultimately couldn’t handle the Big Green, losing by a final of 22-6.
Darmouth scored six unanswered goals to open the game, three of which came from Katie Bourque.
Then, Vermont’s Elise Koehl stopped the bleeding with a close-range tally for the first goal of the game for the Catamounts. UVM started a streak of its own with Jenna Janes and Jenny Caoili scoring after Koehl.
However, Dartmouth continued to pile on the goals in the eventual win for the Big Green.
UVM looks ahead to senior day when it hosts New Hampshire on Saturday, April 20 at 3:30 p.m.
