Vermont men’s hoops took down UAlbany on Saturday to score a fourth straight victory. It’s no surprise that one man filled up the score sheet, Anthony Lamb. Lamb recorded 26 points and 14 rebounds. Saturday’s performance marked his fifth double double this season.
Lamb had some help from Ernie Duncan, 16 points for the redshirt senior and he made four straight from beyond the arc to start off the game. Duncan has been a key component for the Catamounts shooting 48 percent from the filed and 44 percent from long range. When it comes to leadership on this team, there’s no doubt who the top two guys are.
“We talk about it very openly. It’s been a little different this year- it’s been more of listen to Ernie and Anthony, we’ll play off them. We just need to do our jobs around those two guys. It’s fun now as a coach to just move them around a little bit. You can really trust those guys to be ready to play, and they make sure their teammates are ready to play. We’re in a really good spot with those two, and they’ve done a great job leading us” said head coach, John Becker.
The Catamounts continue conference play at home on Wednesday hosting New Hampshire at 7 p.m.
