UVM women’s basketball fell victim to a last-second, game-winning layup in Sunday’s 61-58 loss to Rhode Island.
URI’s Meghan Oberg sunk an off-balance lay-up to take the lead over Vermont with 13 seconds left in the game.
The Catamounts’ final efforts were not successful, so UVM finished on the losing end of a close matchup to drop to 2-2 overall this season.
Next up, Vermont hosts Wagner in the TD Bank Classic Friday at 4:00 p.m.
