Saint Michael’s men’s lacrosse falls to Saint Rose


The Golden Knights rallied to defeat the Purple Knights at Duffy Field on Tuesday.

The College of Saint Rose netted five unanswered goals to close out the game and take a 9-7 victory in the NE10 matchup.

SMC junior attackman Ralph Grillone III scored four goals in the contest, and Saint Rose had a pair of four-point performers in senior attackman Carter Badour (3g, 1a) and sophomore midfielder Kyle Meoli (2g,2a).

Both goalies were strong beneath the pipes, with sophomore Dominic Joy making 16 saves for the Saint Mike’s and freshman Owen Anzalone stopping 13 shots for the Golden Knights.

The Purple Knights fell to 0-5 in conference play and 3-6 this season. Saint Rose improved to 3-6 overall, and 2-5 in the NE10.
