No. 18 Orange get comeback win in overtime

No. 18 Syracuse spoiled the Catamounts’ season opener at Moulton Winder Field on Friday.

UVM freshman Kate Hall netted two goals as the Cats took a 3-2 lead into the fourth, but SU scored in the final minutes to send the game to overtime.

Charlotte DeVries tallied the sudden-death winner just over five minutes into the extra frame to snag the 4-3 win.

Vermont fell to 0-1 with the loss, and its next contest comes on the road against Fairfield on Friday, September 6 at 4 p.m.
