UVM men’s basketball: Drew Urquhart steps into starting role in wake of Anthony Lamb injury

Sports

Friday afternoon head coach John Becker confirmed that UVM’s Anthony Lamb fractured his foot and had surgery on it the day before.

He explained Lamb is expected to be out 6-8 weeks, and the team is not going to rush his return.

With Lamb, Vermont’s leading scorer with almost 17 points per game, injured, Drew Urquhart has taken his place in the starting lineup.

Urquhart, a senior forward, recorded a double-double in the team’s last game against UMass Lowell with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

UVM takes on UMBC Saturday at 7:00 in Patrick Gym.
