UVM men’s hoops releases 2019-20 schedule

Vermont is the defending America East champion

The wait is over – UVM men’s basketball released its complete 31-game regular season schedule on Wednesday.

The Catamounts have a stacked non-conference slate including dates with four teams from the 2019 NCAA tournament pool, one of which is the reigning national champion Virginia.

Vermont opens the season on the road against St. Bonaventure on Friday, November 8. Next up, UVM heads to Bucknell on November 10.

The Cats will participate in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament. Vermont will play St. Johns on the road November 16 and Virginia in Charlottesville on November 19. UVM will then take on Central Connecticut State and either Rider or Columbia at Mohegan Sun that weekend.

The Catamounts will return home to Burlington to host Gallaudet, a college for the deaf and hard of hearing. Gallaudet is also where Vermont head man John Becker got his start as a head coach.

To wrap up the non-conference slate, Vermont will play at Yale, Cincinnati and Dartmouth and host Towson, UNC Greensboro, Lipscomb and George Washington.
