UVM men’s soccer gets scrimmage win over SNHU

Catamounts top Penman at annual pep rally

The home team gave the crowd something to cheer about at Virtue Field as the Cats took down Southern New Hampshire in Saturday’s scrimmage.

SNHU put up a number of good chances in the opening half, but both teams went into halftime scoreless, and UVM broke through in the second to get the 1-0 win.

Vermont junior defender Jonathan Bryant scored the deciding tally when he connected on a header in the 64th minute to get on the board.

The actual season begins on Friday, August 30 when the Catamounts travel to Loyola Chicago for a 6 p.m. contest against the Ramblers.
