UVM women’s hockey dominates Holy Cross on senior night

UVM women’s hockey scored three times in the opening period to seal a 4-1 senior night win over Holy Cross on Saturday at Gutterson Fieldhouse.

Theresa Schafzahl scored first just 1:32 into the game, and then Kristina Shanahan netted back-to-back goals later in the period for a 3-0 mark.

Holy Cross’s Rachel Moore put one on the board for the Crusaders, but Val Caldwell responded with another goal for the Cats.

Vermont closes out the regular season slate Saturday, February 23 at Maine at 2:00 p.m.
