Vermont men’s hoops prepares for Stony Brook

After a humbling 13 point loss to UMBC at home Vermont is gearing up for a trip to Long Island.

The Catamounts are looking to bounce back quickly for a road game at Stony Brook tomorrow. The Stony Brook Seawolves are 5-0 in America East play and on a seven game win streak.

The Cats shared what they need to do to come out on top this weekend.

“Stony Brook is possibly the hardest playing team in our league, and they’ve been that way for awhile now. We’ve gotta make sure we match that, and on top of that people have to step up. and score offensively including myself.. that’s all we’ve gotta do” said sophomore guard, Stef Smith.

“Just keep challenging them to play within our system and go out there and do their job. Obviously we have a lot of room for growth and need to get a lot better.. so we’re just continuing to work on ourselves” said head coach, John Becker.

Tip off is tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. All of the action can be seen on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app by logging in with your television provider.
