Vermont, New Hampshire split All-Star Classic


Recently graduated seniors showcase talents for Make-A-Wish

The women’s and men’s teams entered Gutterson Fieldhouse with win streaks on Friday, and they both left with the the streaks intact, and one win longer.

Recently graduated seniors from the Twin States took the ice representing their high schools for the final time, and the women got the day started.

The women from the Granite State boasted a three-year win streak against Vermont, and exploded for the first three goals of the contest.

New Hampshire’s Carissa Towlson (Exeter High School) carried her squad with a hat-trick in the 4-2 win, and pushed the streak to four years.

The men finished the night, and Vermont finished strong against its twin state rival.

Vermont led by just a goal when the second period began, but the offense surged for four goals in the final frame and cruised to a 6-1 victory.

The Green Mountain State improved its winning stretch in the classic to three years.
