The Lake Monsters lost their fourth-straight game Tuesday night falling short to Williamsport 9-6.
Vermont jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second inning, but the Crosscutters tied it up with a four-run inning in the 5th.
The two teams went back-and-forth until Vermont jumped ahead 6-5 in the 7th inning. The Monsters’ lead was then spoiled by a dominant four-run 9th inning from Williamsport that sealed the 9-6 win over Vermont.
The Lake Monsters host the Crosscutters in the second game of the series Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m.
