Woodstock holds division II state championship

The division II hockey champions are the Woodstock Wasps. The Wasps took down Colchester 3-1 for back-to-back championship wins.

After a scoreless first period, Woodstock secured three goals within three minutes and 23 seconds in the second period. Colchester scored in the final four minutes on a power play to get on the board.

“It’s what we’ve worked for all year long. It’s all the motivation we need for the entire season. Working to this point, just getting better every day. For us seniors, this is how you want to go out. It’s just what I see at the end of the day, what I work for everyday. It feels so good to finally be here with my team. I love all of them and we couldn’t have done anything without coming together as a team” said senior captain Lucas Piconi.
