Nearly four weeks after his conviction, Aita Gurung is now headed to a state correctional facility. It was November 3rd when a jury found Gurung guilty of killing his wife and harming his mother-in-law with a meat cleaver in 2017. The court reconvened to decide where he'll be held until the sentencing.
People can see some festive Christmas trees at the University Mall in South Burlington, and support a good cause. One storefront in the mall has turned into a sea of trees, lights, and presents. ANEW Place is hosting its second annual Celebration of Trees, and its goal is to raise money to help people struggling with homelessness.
