Weather Blog: Kicking off a quiet and warming week

SkyTracker Blog

Good evening!

Love sunshine? This week is for you. We have very little of anything else in the next seven days, but there’s a twist. Our quiet weather week is capped off by the return of near 80° temps as the kickoff to Fall.

Monday night, the sun sets on a gorgeous first day of the workweek at 7:02 PM. It’s mostly clear overnight with some patchy dense fog developing through sheltered valleys. The temp drops into the 40s by daybreak Tuesday. Then, tomorrow, it’s back into the 60s we go with a light north breeze of 5-10 mph. And you guessed it, tons of sunshine. The only exception is through the Northeast Kingdom where a few clouds may creep up as a weakening backdoor cold front sneaks in from the northeast.

The rest of the week shapes up in much the same fashion! Daily, enjoy a mix of sun and clouds and at night, we’re mostly clear with some patchy fog. Here’s the hiccup…For those loving the Fall temps, unfortunately, it’s getting warmer again. Those top temps reach well into the low and mid 70s by Thursday and Friday, and even approach 80° in broad valleys by next weekend. Nighttime lows soar to the 60s. The start of Fall, however, next Monday, promises our next chance for rain and a slight cooldown.

Have a terrific Tuesday!
