Good Sunday evening!
If you’ve been feeling the mugginess over the last couple days, it’s about to increase Monday. It’ll be a hot and humid start to the work week with actual air temps in the upper 80s and a heat index value of 90-95°. Look for a partly sunny sky overhead with a handful of hit-or-miss late morning to early evening showers and thunderstorms. South breeze 10-15 mph.
Backing it up a tad, folks in the Adirondacks or central and southern Vermont may get the north edge of a line of t’storms Sunday evening rolling through New York’s capital region and into southern New England. Strong wind gusts, heavy rain and frequent lightning are possible. Everyone else is partly sunny with the temp falling into the mid 60s to around 70° overnight.
Picking up where we left off, Monday night is partly cloudy then becoming mostly clear with a low in the mid 60s. Tuesday then follows as the first completely quiet day in awhile. It’ll be mostly sunny with a high in the low to mid 80s and slightly less mugginess. Mostly clear Tuesday night and, you guessed it, mid 60s.
Wednesday into Thursday turns into our next unsettled stretch of weather. There are some finer details like timing or coverage of showers and t’storms, but a stretch of wet weather that eventually takes our temps down into the comfortable 70s late week. Stay tuned!
Have a great start to the week!
