OOOHHH Boy it was hot today! High temperature skyrocketed into the low to mid 90’s across the region with dewpoints in the 70’s. Highgate actually reported a dewpoint of 80° which is unheard of in the Green Mountain State. Oppressively hot, oppressively humid and easily the hottest day of 2019 so far!
Haley, please tell us relief is on its way! As a matter of fact, it is.
A cold front is pushing through the region tonight, and while it’s not really living up to its name as a cold front, it is going to open up the gates for some much more comfortable air to slowly filter in through the day Sunday. You won’t feel it right away, but throughout the day dewpoints will become more and more comfortable.
Here is how the week is shaping up:
Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy, a few showers north by morning. Temperatures fall back to the low 70’s.
Sunday: After a few morning showers, partly sunny skies prevail, with a slight chance of an afternoon shower. Temperatures climb to the upper 80’s and dewpoints fall throughout the day.
Monday: Partly sunny to start but rain showers arrive by afternoon, some cloud be heavy at times. Temperatures climb to the low 80’s with dewpoints in the 50’s
Tuesday: A few showers linger during the morning hours, skies look to clear out by afternoon, temperatures climb to the upper 70’s.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Upper 70’s
Thursday: Mostly sunny. Low 80’s
Friday: Mostly sunny. Low 80’s
Saturday: Mostly sunny. Low 80’s
