Wednesday is July 3 and Burlington has their big Independence Day Celebration at the waterfront. The weather won’t get in the way but it’s going to be hot! The day will start mostly sunny with morning temps in the 60s & low 70s. Afternoon highs will jump into the upper 80s & low 90s while mugginess stays noticeable but not horrible. Apart from a shower or thunderstorm or two, the day will be dry. If your plans take you to the waterfront, see you there, and bring sunblock & water! The sun goes down around 8:40pm, skies will be mostly clear with temps falling into the 70s & low 80s by fireworks time at 9:30pm.
Thursday, July 4, will be the hottest day of the week. Mugginess creeps up a little more but it’ll remain tolerable. I’m willing to bet ACs will be going in shortly. Expect a mostly sunny sky all day with highs area-wide in the upper 80s & low 90s. The muggiest day of the week will be Friday, that’s also our next shot at showers & storms. At this point, they look to arrive later in the day while highs push well into the upper 80s. Showers and thunderstorms will arrive Friday night and continue through Saturday afternoon.
Sunday, the weather will be lovely while the humidity and storms move away. Expect mostly sunny skies, with highs in the upper 70s. That trend looks to last through early next week.
Make it a great week!
