There was plenty of heat to go around on Sunday. Highs cruised well into the upper 80s & low 90s. That said, Sunday was way muggier than Saturday, dewpoints hung out around 70°…..that’s tropical! The heat and humidity also fueled numerous showers and storms, some of them reached severe limits and put down quite a bit of rain. We had reports of trees down in Stowe, Burlington & Colebrooke, NH. Flooding was also reported in downtown Burlington around 2:20 Sunday afternoon.
Sunday night, storms end and patchy fog will form overnight. Lows will stay sticky in the upper 60s & low 70s. I can’t rule out a storm or three on Monday but the day is trending quiet and hotter; highs will approach 90° again. Tuesday, a cold front moves in by later in the afternoon. It’ll bring showers and thunderstorms with it Tuesday night through Wednesday. The front will also push the heat and humidity away and by Thursday, we’re sunny and barely 80°!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
