Two areas of high pressure will pass over the North Country and Upper Valley today through the upcoming weekend. Our luck of dry weather will eventually run out on Sunday as a warm front funnels in more showers to the forecast to wrap up the weekend.
Before we get to the weekend forecast, we have another cold morning to get through. Temperatures are in the 30s/40s/50s this morning alongside partly cloudy skies and light west-northwest winds of 5-10 mph. Bundle up in the sweater or jacket, but no need for the umbrella as it is a dry start to the day.
Our afternoon will consist of partly to mostly sunny skies in Vermont and New Hampshire with a bit more cloud cover in northern New York. Temperatures will manage the middle to upper 60s as winds twist out of the north at 5-10 mph.
As for the weekend forecast, it remains nice, sunny, and dry through Saturday with highs rebounding into the lower to middle 70s. You will want to take advantage of Saturday as a new disturbance arrives by late Sunday into next week with a return to scattered showers and downpours. Make it a wonderful and safe weekend.
